In 1968 Mario Giannini founded an artisan shoe workshop in the heart of the Marche region, the cradle of Italian shoe-making excellence. In just a few years, this small workshop became a company and in 1973 Doucal's was born, the Brand whose name reflects the ambitions of an Italian man who appreciated the style and quality of British shoes.

Fascinated by artisan savoir-faire, over the years Mario's sons, Gianni and Jerry, joined the company and carried on their father's tradition. Still family owned and operated, the manufacturing technique and exclusive charm of Made in Italy has been strictly maintained while combining a new contemporary approach and an innovative spirit thanks to the use of the most advanced technologies.

All of Doucal's handmade products are authentic and Made in Italy, the result of a tradition typical of the Marche region and the “ars sutoria”, the art of shoemaking, which has been handed down from father to son since 1973.
